Vintage Kay Bass - $3499 LOCAL PICKUP ONLY SOLD!This one is a cannon! Very loud and great sound for bluegrass. This is a 1969, Model C-1, Kay Upright bass. Original sunburst color, in very good condition. 1969 is the last year that Kay made basses. Rosewood fingerboard and Kay logo tailpiece. After we took the pictures, we changed the strings to LaBella black tape wound 7710. These strings retail for over $250 a set and they are great for bluegrass and jazz. Vintage Kay Bass - $1800 LOCAL PICKUP ONLY SOLD! Value for your money! Great sounding bluegrass bass. This is a 1967, Swingmaster Model S-1, Kay Upright bass. Original medium brown color, with lots of edge damage. This has inlaid purfling, NOT painted on, around the top and back, and around the f-holes. There is also an ebony collar on the heel (button). There is a large scratch on the back (visible in the pictures) -- this is NOT a crack in the wood. If you don't mind "beat up" looking, then this one's for you!
