Vintage Kay Bass - $3499 LOCAL PICKUP ONLY This one is a cannon! Very loud and great sound for bluegrass. This is a 1969, Model C-1, Kay Upright bass. Original sunburst color, in very good condition. 1969 is the last year that Kay made basses. Rosewood fingerboard and Kay logo tailpiece. After we took the pictures, we changed the strings to LaBella black tape wound 7710. These strings retail for over $250 a set and they are great for bluegrass and jazz.
