1950's Gretsch New Yorker Mandolin - $980 FREE S/H (US only)

This A-Style Gretsch mandolin has really been played! It certainly has a great sound to it. Overall condition is very good. There is substantial fingerboard wear, but the frets are in very good condition. I imagine it has been refretted fairly recently. There is one repaired crack on the top of the instrument extending from the top f-hole to the side of the instrument. There are three more repaired cracks extending from the bottom of that same f-hole to the side. All appear to be stable and properly repaired and do not affect the instrument in any way. One pickguard screw is missing. There are very few scratches and dings overall. The peghead has a few scratches around the pegholes where strings have scratched it over time. Pegs move freely and hold tune well. The bridge is two-piece, non-adjustable. It has a penciled in restoration date of 1970 on the inside of the instrument, but I am unable to make out the name. Gretsch only made the New Yorker mandolins in the 1950's, so this mandolin is from that era. I do not know the exact date of manufacture, though.
