4/4 Used Violin/Fiddle Outfit w/case & bow $250 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 935
Here's a great student outfit that is used, but not vintage. It comes with a used, hard plastic case, and a used student bow with real horsehair. It is
a Scherl & Roth made in 1998. It is model R270E4 with inlaid purfling. It features ebony fingerboard; ebony pegs; ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; plastic chinrest;
new steel strings; and ebony endpin. Body is 14"; overall length is 23-1/8".
This instrument is in excellent condition. The original varnish is in great condition, though it does have quite a few small dents and dings in the top. The camera did
not pick these up very well. Some wear to edges, though it has been touched up nicely. No cracks or repairs. This instrument is loud in volume, with a bright, clear
tone quality. I think it would be suitable for all types of music.

7/8 Vintage Violin/Fiddle $275 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 878
Full size body, but short scale, circa 1870 or possibly earlier. Made in Klingenthal, Germany. Possibly Hopf, but not marked. New ebony pegs; ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; dyed fingerboard;
plastic chinrest; steel strings; new bridge; ebony endpin. Body is 14"; overall length is 23". Scale is 12-1/2", which makes this 7/8.
This instrument is in okay condition. Original varnish is good condition with scratches and dings consistant with age. Beech neck. No cracks or repaired cracks. The
center seam might have been reglued at some point, but I don't know for sure. Solid condition. Some wear to edges.
The fact that this violin is crack free and this old is pretty amazing! The fingerboard is rather thin at the nut end of the neck. The bridge is 3/4 size to accomodate the lower
neck angle sufficiently. String spacing is full size. Fingerboard is straight and does not have any wear
to it at this point. Purfling is painted on. Nice one-piece back. It has a medium to fine grained spruce top. Lined but not blocked. This instrument would be
absolutely perfect for an adult with small fingers! You get the advantage of a full size body for great tone, and smaller scale length that makes it easier for a small hand!
This fiddle really sounds great. Good for bluegrass, country or Irish. NOT good for classical due to scale and setup.

This 120 year old violin is crack free! Before you read any further, take a look at the pictures of the back! This German instrument was made around 1890.
It has a Strad label, but the construction is more like that of an Amati, with high arching on the back and moderate arching on the top. It has ebony pegs with parisian
eye; vintage ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; ebony fingerboard;
plastic chinrest; steel strings; ebony endpin with pearl dot. Body is 14"; overall length is 23-1/4".

The violin is crack free. This violin is light brown to golden yellow in color. It has lower blocks and is fully lined. This one is a canon (very loud)! It has a wonderful tone quality that I think is perfect for hoedowns, though it would be suitable for all
styles of music. This instrument is for the person who wants it all! Great looks, great sound, great price! This is my pick.

4/4 Vintage Violin/Fiddle $599 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 899
Vintage German instrument, from around Saxony. Amati copy, circa 1900. Recommended for any level of musician, as this particular instrument is not especially
valuable, but just happens to sound incredible. Ebony fingerboard; ebony pegs; ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; ebony endpin; ebony chinrest; steel strings.
Body is 14-1/8"; overall length is 23-5/16".
This instrument is in good condition. It has been completely refinished and it was not a professional job. There are brush marks and streaking throughout and a few little
bubbles at the end, but I don't see any runs. Some wear to the edges and some scratches and dings overall. There is one repaired crack on the top that is about 1-1/2" long next to the fingerboard at the
top of the bass side of the instrument. There is also a repaired crack extending upwards from the bass f-hole about 1/4". One section of the wood in the top is lighter in
color than the rest and it almost looks like the top is made of more than two pieces of wood. It is not. It is just the coloration of the wood. If you don't mind the looks,
you will love this instrument! Loud in volume with a wonderful tone quality, especially suitable irish music or bluegrass hoedowns!

This is one incredible instrument! Made in Dresden, Germany, by E. Reichert, circa 1900-1920. You're going to love this one! Look at the beautiful flaming
on the back and sides of this one! Ebony pegs; ebony fingerboard; ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; plastic chinrest; ebony endpin; steel strings.
This is a long-pattern Strad copy with a body length 14-1/2"; overall length is 23-3/4".
This instrument is in very good condition. The original red varnish is in good condition with scratches and dings consistant with age. There is a repaired 1/4" wing
crack, and also a crack or scratch (can't tell) on the treble side extending upward from the C bout. There is also a small repaired crack under the fingerboard that is
approximately 1" in length. There is an ugly repair to the rib near the endpin. You can see this in the "End" picture. This is truly a remarkable instrument at this price! It has a
wonderful, deep bass and is loud in volume. Highly recommended for all styles of music and one of my favorites that is currently listed!

Used?/Vintage? Violin/Fiddle $575 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 862
I don't know much about this particular instrument, but I think it is an older fiddle that someone bought unfinished. I don't know how old it is,
but the varnish looks like it has some age to it. The fittings are newer. It has an ebony fingerboard; ebony pegs; ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; plastic
chinrest; ebony endpin; and steel strings. Body is 14"; overall length is 23-1/8".
This instrument is in excellent condition. It has a small, repaired 1/2" saddle crack and that is it. The back is one-piece and is lightly flamed. The original
varnish is handmade and is slightly dirty. There is very slight alligatoring to the varnish that is only visible when you look at it closely in the right light. This is
visible in a number of the pictures. It has
a wonderful, bassy sound. I was truly shocked when I played it! This instrument is loud in volume and has a great sound! I believe it would be suitable for any
type of music.

4/4 Used Violin/Fiddle Outfit w/case & bow $325 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 927
Not vintage, but used. Don't miss out on this beautiful, used violin outfit. Yes, this one includes a newer case and bow! Nice dark brown, matte varnish makes
this one a real beauty! All ebony fittings including fingerboard, pegs, tailpiece (with four gold colored fine tuners) and endpin; ebony chinrest; steel strings. Body is 14"; overall length is 23".
This instrument is in very good condition. It has its original varnish which is in good condition, though there are a lot of ding around the edges, especially to the top.
I don't see any scratches. Spruce top is medium grain. Nicely flamed maple back that is really pretty! There are two repaired cracks. One repair to the peghead at the D peg, and
one repaired crack to the top that is about 1-1/2" long to the right of the tailpiece extending from the bottom of the instrument upward. I actually think these repairs might
have been made at the time the instrument was made because they appear to be well matched and the instrument is not very old. (Maybe 1-2 years old??) This instrument is loud in volume
with a very clear tone quality that would be suitable for all styles of music. You will love this instrument!

ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; plastic chinrest; new ebony endpin; steel strings. Body is 14-1/8"; overall length is 23-1/4".

a 1" repaired crack in the top on the upper right side of the body. There
are scratches that extend from each f-hole down towards the bridge, but if these were ever cracks, they have been repaired. I can't tell if they are scratches or
repaired cracks. Scratches and dings overall consistant with age. Some wear to the edges. Original varnish is in good condition. Beautiful flaming on the
back of this one! Very finely grained spruce top. Loud to medium loud in volume with a nice tone quality! This one would be good for all styles of music, but especially

ribs where the block is. Instrument is guaranteed sound. Loud in volume with wonderful depth of tone that only comes with age and being played. It is even across all
strings and is another one of my favorites currently listed. Amazing flaming in the wood on

ebony endpin. Body is 14"; overall length is 23-1/4".

4/4 Vintage German Violin/Fiddle $425 FREE Shipping/Insurance (US only)
Reference No. 641
This is a beautiful German student instrument in great condition! This one really has it all! It features
a new ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners; new plastic chinrest; new ebony pegs; dyed hardwood fingerboard; new
Aubert bridge; ebony endpin; and Super Sensitive Red Label strings. Overall length is 23-1/4"
This instrument is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or repaired cracks that I can see anywhere on the instrument,
and the original varnish is in excellent condition with one caveat... It appears that the instrument must have gotten hot
at some point and both the top and bottom have been off at some point. There is touchup work on the ribs at both points
from excess glue. It is possible that the neck was also reglued, but I can't tell for sure. All is solid and stable now.
This would make a great student or step-up instrument! This is a bargain for the price! Suitable for all styles of music.
I would classify this as medium to loud in volume.
