If you are wanting to learn how to play fiddle by reading music, this is probably the best book available. The accompanying CD includes both the fiddle part and backup accompaniment together. It starts out with all the basics, and then goes on to more challenging pieces. The arrangements of songs are very nice and true to the melodies, without being overly simplistic or too hard.
